A man has been attacked and injured with a sharp object in Maradhoo, Addu City.

Maldives Police Service said that four men on two motorcycles instigated the attack around 8:16 p.m. last night injuring a 36-year-old local man.

The man sustained a 5-inch long cut on his back in the attack, according to the police, and was treated and discharged from the Maradhoo Health Center.

Police are investigating further.
