Spokesperson for the National Emergency Operation Center, Mohamed Mabrook Abdul Aziz has said that two people that recovered from the COVID-19 Corona Virus in the Maldives have been released from the hospital.
Speaking during a press, Mabrook revealed that the two are the tourists from Sandies Bathala Island Resort who had tested positive. They have been discharged the same day as their departure.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) first took their samples on March 18th. Upon the completion of their 14 day quarantine, they had tested negative and showed no symptoms during their release from the hospital.
So far 19 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Maldives. These include four Maldivians as well as two tourists who tested positive after departing the country.
