Health Protection Agency (HPA) has said that gatherings of more than three people will be banned after 12 p.m. tomorrow.
The HPA made the announcement in a statement released with the signature of the Director General of Public Health, Mainoon Abubakuru.
The statement also said that the curfew will be in effect from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Male’ area starting from 2 April 2020 where public transportation services such as the bus and ferry services, will be suspended.
However, some services have the permit to be out on the streets during the curfew hours according to the HPA. They are:
- Security and Law Enforcement agents and their vehicles
- Health services employees and their vehicles
- WAMCO uniformed employees and their vehicles
- Employees of Ooredoo, Dhiraagu, STO, STELCO, MWSC and the banks
- Vehicles with government plates
- Diplomatic vehicles
- Ambulance
- NEOC permit holders
- Pharmacy employees and their vehicles
