Chief Medical Officer at ADK Hospital, Dr. Abdulla Niyaf has said that the COVID-19 Corona Virus is spreading rapidly and is not slowing down.

Raising concern on the global pandemic, Dr. Niyaf took to Twitter saying that while over 300,000 people have been infected so far, the number grew to 100,000 in 67 days but it went to 200,000 in another 11 days and the number grew up to 300,000 in just four days.

And so, Dr. Niyaf advised the public to take great care in taking the preventive measures and take precautionary measures for personal safety and the safety of everyone.

He said that while children and the elderly are particularly at risk, COVID-19 is a threat to all ages and even young children are dying of the illness.

Dr. Niyaf called to give special attention to staying at home and social distancing on essential outings.
