After two more people being treated for the COVID-19 Corona Virus in the Maldives recover from the illness, the total number of people recovered in the Maldives has gone up to five.
Speaking during a press conference, Dr Mohamed Ismail noted that the two patients have since been discharged. As of now, there are 8 patients receiving treatment for Covid-19 in the Maldives.
Dr Ismail stressed that even though five patients have recovered, it does not indicate a minimised risk of the Coronavirus spread in the Maldives. He further added that everyone still needs to keep practicing social distancing and staying indoors as much as possible.
During the press conference, Covid-19 Spokesperson Mabrouq Azeez had noted the hard work of doctors in treating the patients who have recovered and had thanked them greatly.
