A Maldivian has been quarantined upon showing symptoms of COVID-19 Corona Virus after returning from travels in Europe and the Middle East.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) took to Twitter today to announce that samples have been collected from the suspected patient and are now in the process of being tested. The HPA said that they are also working on transferring the person to the Isolation Facility in Velidhoo.

So far 13 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives; all foreigners and three of them have recovered.
