Maagiri Hotel in Male’ City has reopened after temporarily closing on this past Wednesday to disinfect the premises.

The hotel announced on Twitter today that establishment has been reopened today for those seeking its services.

Maagiri Hotel was closed down for the procedure after it was revealed that a guest that arrived from Kuredu Island Resort who tested positive for COVID-19 had stayed at the hotel before his departure from the country.

The government had previously said that the person who tested positive was confirmed to have stayed two days in the capital at Maagiri Hotel. And 15 employees of the hotel was quarantined following the discovery.

So far 13 cases of COVID-19 has been found in the Maldives.
