Aside from China and South Korea, the COVID-19 Corona Virus spread the most in the European countries. In response to the pandemic, Italy closed all of its borders and brought the country to a lock down last week.
The fifth most affected by the disease behind, China, South Korea, Italy and Iran is Spain where the Spanish authorities decided to close down the country with 46 million people within its borders.
So far 5700 people have tested positive in Spain with 136 fatalities. Spain tested 1500 people positive in the past 24 hours alone.
Yesterday, the government of France ordered to close down all the major sites in the country. This includes the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum along with all the cafés, restaurants and cinemas.
With the rising number of infections, the United States declared a state of emergency yesterday. US President, Donald J. Trump, too, tested for the disease. However, the result of that testing is yet to be released.
Officially, the ground zero for COVID-19 is the Wuhan province in China. However, China has alleged it is a disease brought to China by the United States.
At this point, 150,000 people have been tested positive for the disease globally and 5600 people have died from it.
