One&Only Reethi Rah resort has been re-opened after the child at the island with symptoms tests negative for COVID-19 Corona Virus.

The resort was closed and quarantined yesterday after a child at the island showed symptoms of the disease.

Talking to One Online, the Government Spokesperson for COVID-19 situation, Mohamed Mabrook Aziz said that after the child tested negative, the quarantine status on the resort has been lifted and re-opened today.

And so, there are now three resort islands in the Maldives with temporary quarantine in effect due to COVID-19. They are, Kuramathi Maldives resort, Kuredu Island Resort and Sandies Bathala Maldives Resort.

There are eight confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Maldives so far.
