HR Maldives said that although this is the inaugural Futsal Cup, they plan to hold the tournament in the future as well.

According to the HR Maldives, the purpose of this tournament is to give the opportunity for executive-level employees to take part in a recreational event as they do not usually get the opportunity to take part in such events along with providing a space for the employees of the offices and companies to bond outside of work
