Maldives Police Service has revealed that the missing vaccination stamp from Addu City 'Dhamana Veshi' has been found in an uninhabited island.

Police noted that the stamp was found in GDh. Kurikeymaahuttaa on January 4th, and that the information was shared with them today.

The stamp which is used to determine whether a dose of vaccination has been completed or not was reported as missing on December 26th, though local media reported that it was missing since December 24th.

The case of the missing stamp came to light at a time when there were talks of unvaccinated children being enrolled to schools in the city. Speaking during a press conference yesterday, Health Minister Ibrahim Ameen noted that there are schools that accept students without vaccination including private institutions. He added that necessary action will be taken against them.
