Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has said that the man and dinghy involved in a collision at sea at dusk yesterday has still not been found.
Maldives Police Service said that three men were traveling on the dinghy at the time of the collision and the man that went missing is 41-year-old Nasrulla Abdulla from Baa Atoll Eydhafushi.
The collision between the speed launch traveling out of Eydhafushi and a dinghy traveling from Dharavandhoo took place around 7:07 p.m. last night.
The two others on the dinghy, of the ages, 42 and 38, were rescued on to the launch following the collision.
Police and the MNDF are working in the area to find the missing man and the vessel. MNDF said that the search involves a surface investigation where night vision cameras are being used.
The missing man, Nasrulla, and his friends were out on the dinghy for fishing.
