A Maldivian resort has made the list of 20 new hotels to visit next year announced by the American media giant, CNN.
The resort that made the list is The Standards Maldives developed in Raa Atoll Huruvalhi by The Standards Hotels. It is the only Maldivian resort on the list.
Highlights of the resorts features on the article include bonfires at the beach, karaoke and the glass-floored overwater night club that stays open until after sunrise.
The resort was initially opened in late 2018 by the name of Carpe Diem Beach Resort & Spa. The resort was renamed and reopened after The Standard Hotels took over as their first resort in Asia.
Located 35 minutes via seaplane from Velana International Airport, the resort consists of 115 villas designed for millennial travelers along with six restaurants and a The Standards Spa with nine treatments.
