As part of his ongoing visit to the Southern Atolls, the Vice President, Faisal Naseem, has officially inaugurated the Dialysis Unit at the Fuvahmulah Hospital.

The Vice President toured the unit after the inauguration and met with some of the patients at the unit.

Speaking after inauguration at the hospital, the Vice President emphasized the priority accorded by the Administration to improving health care services across the country and affirmed its commitment to fulfilling the urgent and pressing health care needs of the people.

The President’s Office said that the Dialysis Unit can provide the service to three patients simultaneously. The hospital at the Fuvahmulah City sees 150-200 patients a day according to the President’s Office.

Following the inauguration, the Vice President visited the Drug Treatment and Detoxification Center and toured the facilities.
