President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has departed to the United Arab Emirates on an Official Visit.

The President’s visit is at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

Speaker of Parliament, Mohamed Nasheed is also joining President Solih on the trip. Parliament confirmed that Speaker Nasheed had departed on a two day trip to the UAE.

President's Office did not reveal further details of the trip.
