President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the First Lady, Fazna Ahmed, has officially welcomed the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe and his wife, Professor Maitree Wickremesinghe to the Maldives.

The President and the First Lady welcomed the Sri Lankan delegation when they arrived at the official jetty of Male’ City from Velana International Airport. A special ceremony was held in front of the Republic Square after the Prime Minister and his delegation where school students made a presentation.

Prime Minister and President Solih then arrived at the President’s Office is for an official meeting between the two and Prime Minister Wickremesinghe signed the honorary guest book.

The Maldivian Foreign Ministry said that official talks between the two countries will be held at the President’s Office and agreements will be signed between the two nations.
