The hearing in the former President Abdulla Yameen trial today has gone to recess after the Maldives Police Service had failed to bring the former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Gafoor to the court room on time to take his testimony.

Adeeb was summoned to the court for 11:00pm, however Police had failed to present him to the court by 11:30pm. After this, Chief Judge had decided to take a short recess.

While taking the recess, it was announced that the hearing will resume when the witness was presented.
