Maldives Police Service (MPS) has arrested two people for the alleged kidnapping and torture of someone in the capital city.

Police had also confirmed the arrest to 'One Online'.

Police Media Official revealed that two have been arrested for the torture and kidnapping of someone. The two arrested were Maldivian men who are 19 years and 20 years old. They were arrested Sunday morning.

Sources claim that the two had kidnapped a middle aged person, however the exact age remains unknown during the time of press. The person was allegedly kept in a house in Maafannu, near the 'Bbisburu' area.
