The registration deadline for this year's "Ooredoo Fun Run 2026" has been extended until the 14th of this month.

Held as the most joyful and vibrant run in the Maldives, this year's event will take place on December 11 in Hulhumalé.

Anyone aged 6 and above can participate in this 5-kilometer run. Featuring fun obstacles and various entertaining activities, the event is not a race that must be completed within a specific timeframe, allowing participants to finish by walking, jogging, or even dancing.

Participants have the opportunity to choose between two kits: a standard kit for MVR 110 and a fun kit for MVR 210. The standard kit includes a Fun Run t-shirt, a multipurpose bandana, and a bib, while the fun kit additionally includes a special bag and sunglasses.

Additionally, individuals who registered before October 31 were given the opportunity to have their desired name printed on their bib at no extra charge.

To heighten the excitement of the run, pre-event activities have also been arranged. These include a children's evening on December 10 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a special music show that night from 8:00 PM to 12:00 midnight.

The Fun Run is an annual event that draws massive participation from families and friends alike. Last year's run in Hulhumalé saw over 7,500 participants.
