The Bank of Maldives (BML) has invited expressions of interest from developers to design, build and finance its new head office in Hulhumalé Phase 2.
In an announcement, the bank said the proposed development will be located on Lot 11824, covering 2,648.4 square metres. The building will comprise 14 floors above two basement levels.
The ground floor will accommodate customer services, staff facilities and retail spaces. The development must also provide parking for at least 65 cars and 400 motorcycles.
The 12th floor will feature a landscaped terrace, while the 13th and 14th floors will house executive offices. The building will also include rooftop solar facilities for renewable energy generation.
BML said the selected developer will be responsible for completing the entire project and securing financing through external sources in US dollars. Both conventional and Sharia-compliant financing proposals will be considered, but proposals requiring BML to provide financing or foreign currency will not be accepted.
The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is 4pm on 30 November.
