Maldives Customs Service has seized 3.15kg of synthetic drugs concealed in two postal parcels sent to the Maldives through different routes.

The drugs, identified as synthetic cathinone, commonly known as 'Miao Miao', were discovered during parcel inspections.

The first seizure was made on 29 October when Customs officers found 2.12kg of the substance in a parcel sent through the postal service.

A second seizure was made on 31 October, when officers discovered another 1.03kg in a parcel sent through Korea.
