MET Office: Last lunar eclipse of the year tonight, will be visible in Maldives

National Meteorological Service has said that the last lunar eclipse of the year will taking place tonight and it will be visible in the Maldives.

Talking to One Online, Meteorologist at the MET Office, Ahmed Muslim said that the lunar eclipse tonight is going to be clearly visible. However, due to the forecast of heavy clouds over the country, the entire eclipse may not be seen.

Astronomical calculations show that the lunar eclipse will be taking place at 11:43 p.m. Meteorologist Muslim said that although the eclipse will begin at that time, it will become visible to the naked eye around 1 a.m.

A full eclipse will be at 2:30 a.m. and it will be visible until pass at 5:17 a.m. according to the MET Office.

The eclipse tonight is going to be the last lunar eclipse of the year.
