The Maldives Hajj Corporation has announced that renovation work has been completed on the 355-room hotel used to house Hajj pilgrims. The corporation stated that the refurbishment of the hotel in Mecca was part of ongoing efforts to elevate the quality of services provided to pilgrims.
According to the Hajj Corporation, the renovations included replacing the carpets in all rooms of the Mecca hotel, updating tables and beds, and replacing the tiles in the bathrooms.
"Changes have been brought to every single room in the 355-room hotel. Following the recent Ramadan Umrah, Managing Director Mohamed Shakeel prioritized discussions with the hotel owner to ensure these improvements were implemented," the Hajj Corporation stated.
The corporation also noted that changes were made to the hotel's lobby area, including new sofas for pilgrims to rest, and a conference hall has now been established within the hotel to provide religious guidance and other instructions.
Furthermore, as part of the services provided to pilgrims, new buggies have been acquired for use during this year's Hajj season. The corporation also confirmed that the tents designated for Maldivians in Arafat are now nearing completion.
