Amjad Mustafa has resigned from his position as Chief Judicial Administrator, the head of judiciary administration in the Maldives.

An official from the Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) confirmed that he stepped down today, though no reason for his resignation was disclosed.

Amjad was appointed to the role in February 2025. Over his career, he has also served as Vice President of the Elections Commission of Maldives, President of the Employment Tribunal, and as a board director of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTDC).

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Shariah and Law from the Islamic University of Maldives and a Master of Business Administration from Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom.
