The police have confirmed that Indian billionaire Gautam Singhania was among the passengers on the speedboat that capsized near V. Felidhoo last Thursday night.

Search operations were launched by the authorities yesterday to locate two individuals who went missing after the vessel overturned.

According to the police, there were five people on board at the time of the incident. Three individuals who sustained injuries were transported to the Vaavu Atoll Hospital for medical care.

While the police stated yesterday that a search was ongoing for the remaining two people, no information has been released yet regarding whether they have been found.

A police media official informed "One" today that Gautam Singhania has been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment at the Vaavu Atoll Hospital.

Gautam Singhania, 60, is a prominent Indian billionaire businessman. He serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of the Raymond Group, one of the world's largest producers of suiting fabric.

Singhania joined the JK Group of companies, owned by his family, in 1986. He subsequently rose through the ranks to become a Director, Managing Director, and ultimately the Chairman of the Raymond Group.
