Emirates and FlyDubai have resumed flight operations that were previously suspended due to the conflict initiated by strikes on Iran by Israel and the United States.

Following the onset of aerial strikes against Iran by the U.S. and Israel last Saturday, Iran responded by targeting U.S. military bases in the region. These targets included U.S. military installations located in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.

Due to the closure of Middle Eastern airspace resulting from these attacks, Emirates and FlyDubai operations were brought to a complete standstill.

In a post on X today, Emirates announced its decision to resume certain flights. The airline stated that priority would be given to customers with the earliest bookings and confirmed that passengers would be notified once their travel arrangements are finalized. Emirates also urged passengers not to proceed to the airport until they receive confirmation that their flight has been scheduled.

The airline further added that it is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East and will adjust flight schedules as the situation evolves.

Similarly, FlyDubai confirmed on its website today that it has resumed some operations. The airline shared information regarding several flights arriving at and departing from Dubai International Airport, including those servicing routes to Russia and Pakistan.

FlyDubai emphasized that the safety of passengers and crew remains its top priority and noted that it is working with relevant authorities to restore its full operations to normalcy.
