After the parliament Insititute has filed a dismissal case against the President of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Hassan Luthufee, he has resigned from the position.

While the President’s Office has confirmed the resignation, the case against him went to parliament after he has been collecting his paycheck without coming to work since February after his annual leave and sick days ran out.

Presenting the dismissal case to the parliament, the MP for Velidhoo constituency, Mohamed Abdulla Shafeeq said that based on the information the ACC shared with the parliament commission 19 June, Luthufee must be dismissed from his position.
