Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem, CEO of Malé City Group of Hospitals, has announced the establishment of a dedicated Emergency Room (ER) for children under 16 years of age.
Speaking on PSM News' 'Hafuthaa104' program last night, Haleem stated that he was aware of the state of the healthcare system in the Malé area when he assumed the position of CEO of Malé City Group of Hospitals.
Highlighting the extensive efforts by the current government to address this, Haleem noted that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu entrusted him with this responsibility and provides full support for the advancement of the health sector.
He mentioned that significant progress has been made in the past two years, one of which is the provision of a dedicated ER service for children under 16.
"Now, arrangements have been made for all children under 16, especially young children, to receive treatment from specialized doctors. A child-friendly ER has been established for children," Haleem stated.
Furthermore, Haleem emphasized that numerous efforts are being made to fully utilize Dharumavantha Hospital to expand the healthcare system needed by residents living in the Malé area.
Haleem added that these efforts also include upgrading the healthcare systems required by residents living in Hulhumalé.
