Chief Justice Ahmed Mu'tasim Adnan has emphasised the challenges judges face in making fair decisions and the need for careful deliberation.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of 'Judicial Year 2025' at the Islamic Centre's meeting hall, he highlighted that judges must rely on legal standards and the facts of each case to ensure justice is served.
The Chief Justice stated that judges apply their expertise and humility to every case while upholding their oath to protect the Constitution and the law. He acknowledged the difficulty of remaining impartial and avoiding external influences, stressing that fairness requires patience, caution, and self-restraint.
He reiterated that judges carry out their duties without fear or hesitation, even when decisions may be difficult or unpopular. Whether handling cases related to divorce, dowry, domestic violence, civil damage, or criminal offences, judges remain dedicated to their responsibilities.
Chief Justice Mu'tasim also expressed appreciation for lower court judges, recognising their dedication to justice. He noted that the greatest satisfaction for judges is the knowledge that they have delivered justice and contributed to the well-being of families and society.
