The money saved by three people for the Hajj Pilgrimage has been stolen.

Maldives Police Service said that a theft of a large sum of money from a residential house in Faafu Dharamboodhoo was reported around 2:03 p.m. on 26 May 2019. The theft of about MVR 300,000 was noticed on 25 May according to the police. The money was saved up by three people for a Hajj Pilgrimage.

Police said that no arrests have been made so far and the case is under investigation.
