A taxi driver has been threatened by a knife and robbed by two passengers that traveled from Hulhumale' to Male'.

Maldives Police Service said that the report of a taxi driver threatened with a knife and robbed his phone was reported at 1:10 a.m. last night.

Police said that an investigation is ongoing and two people have been arrested in connection to the case.

Just three days ago, two passengers that got in to a taxi cab on Majeedhee Magu robbed the driver at knife point taking MVR 700.

That case, too, is currently under investigation but no arrests have been made so far.
