The suspects in custody following the break-in of a shop in Gaafu Dhaalu Rathafandhoo on 24 May 2019 has had their remand extended.

Maldives Police Service said that they arrested three men of the ages 27, 21 and 19 along with a minor of 17 years of age.

When brought to their remand hearing at the Thinadhoo Magistrate Court, the remand was extended by three days. Police said that the Rathafandhoo Police Station is investigating the break-in.

Police said that the money stolen in the break-in have been recovered which includes MVR 20,000 USD 412 and 10 Euros along with two cartons of cigarettes.
