Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the procurement of 65 ATMs as part of its ongoing efforts to expand banking services across the Maldives.
In a notification issued on Thursday, the bank invited interested suppliers to submit their estimates by 19 May. BML has also opened a window for clarifications until 5 December, with all submissions to be processed at its head office.
This procurement aligns with the bank’s ambitious project, launched on 7 November, to install ATMs on all inhabited islands. The initiative aims to ensure access to ATM services in rural and remote areas, addressing the financial needs of communities nationwide.
Currently, BML operates 190 ATMs across the Maldives. With the addition of these 65 new machines, the bank plans to exceed 250 ATMs by the end of 2025, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing banking accessibility and convenience for its customers.
This initiative highlights BML’s pivotal role in supporting financial inclusion and improving banking infrastructure throughout the Maldives.
