Maldives Police Service have begun investigating a case where a woman’s Facebook account was hacked, and used to obtain money in her name.

Police revealed to the media today that this case, where someone hacked a woman's Facebook account and contacted other people in her name to obtain money, was reported yesterday.

Hacking people's accounts through various types of emails, sending codes, and other methods has become very common recently. Relevant authorities have been repeatedly appealing for vigilance regarding these matters.
