The man who was found in the sea with injuries near Dharumavantha Hospital has died.

The police said at noon today that an injured person was found in the sea near the outer wall of Dharumavantha Hospital and that the person had been taken to IGMH (Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital). They said it was a Maldivian man.

Tonight, the police said that the hospital has informed them that the man died while receiving treatment at IGMH. They added that he was 51 years old.

The police are continuing to investigate the case.
