A person has been injured in an assault in Malé City.

In a message sent to the media tonight, Maldives Police Service said that a case of assault at a café in Shaheed Ali Goalhi in Maafannu was reported tonight.

The police stated that a 44-year-old Maldivian man who was injured in the assault has been taken to IGMH (Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital). They also said that no one has been arrested yet in connection with the case.

The police are currently investigating the case.
