Dhiraagu has announced the continuation of its high-speed internet services for children and families in State care throughout 2025. The initiative is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, aimed at supporting residents of safe shelters managed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development.
Senior representatives from Dhiraagu recently met with Minister of Social and Family Development Dr Aishath Shiham to discuss collaborative efforts to improve the lives of children in State custody.
The programme will provide internet access to alternative care homes and temporary shelters across the Maldives, including key locations such as Naifaru, Fuvahmulah City, Kulhudhuffushi City, Addu City, and atolls like Baa, Lhaviyani, and Dhaalu.
The initiative focuses on promoting digital inclusion and enhancing educational opportunities for vulnerable children. By ensuring reliable connectivity in these safe spaces, Dhiraagu aims to reduce the digital divide and equip children with the skills needed for their education and development.
