Dh. Atoll Council has announced that passport services will be available in the atoll starting this month.

Following a meeting with Home Minister Ali Ihsan, Atoll Council President Ahmed Shafiu confirmed that 99 per cent of the preparations for passport services in the atoll are complete.

President Shafiu stated that the service will be officially launched by President Dr Muizzu on November 17, allowing residents to access it from that date onwards. The immigration office will operate from the Atoll Council building, where the service will be provided.

Last week, the atoll also introduced a new service for printing and issuing ID cards locally.
