The Volleyball Association of Maldives (VAM) has decided to take action against those who make untrue statements and accusations against the association's executive committee members and the association itself.

The VAM held an extraordinary meeting of the association yesterday to approve the audit reports ordered by the Commissioner of Sports. The meeting finalized and approved the VAM audit reports for the fiscal years 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

In addition, under the "Miscellaneous" section of the agenda, Club Volleyball has investigated the case of those who have made untrue and rude, socially unacceptable language and accusations against the Volleyball Association and its Executive Committee members and decided to ban their participation in an activity for at least two years.

Aspiration for All Initiatives Sports Club supported the motion, which was unanimously approved by all member clubs.

VAM President Mohammed Latheef, who presided over the meeting, told One Sports that there was no problem in criticizing the Volleyball Association. He said volleyball should eliminate insults to families and personal lives.

Representatives of all VAM clubs attended the extraordinary meeting held yesterday. They are Police Club, Alma Sports Club, Andhu Sports Club, Volleyball Youth New Generation, Club Volleyball and Youth New Generation, Club Half Line Linkage, Aspiration for All Initiatives Sports Club, Dhivehi Sifainge Club and Goodies Sports Club.
