Members of Kalaidhoo Council has expressed their hopes of development of a causeway between Kalaidhoo and Dhanbidhoo to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
At the meeting held at the President’s Office, members of the council briefed the President on the most urgent needs of the Island’s citizen, and the council’s plans for the further developments.
During the meeting, council members highlighted that the people of Kalaidhoo are highly expectant of the development of a causeway bridge between Kalaidhoo and nearby Dhanbidhoo Island. They also highlighted the need to renovate the Health Center in the Island, the expansion of Kalidhoo Habour and to build a new Mosque in Kalaidhoo.
Speaking at the meeting, President Solih expressed that the government would take necessary action after discussing with the relevant Ministries and address the specific issues and concerns raised by members of the Kalaidhoo Council.
