The People’s National Congress (PNC) is currently in the process of increasing its membership.

PNC Parliamentary Group Leader and Inguraidhoo MP Ibrahim Falaah has stated that their aim is to reach 75,000 members by November this year.

The PNC has launched a series of activities across the country to increase its membership and become the largest political party in the Maldives. The activities are scheduled to run until October 15th.

Falaah told One Online today that nearly 50,000 forms have been received so far during the PNC's membership drive.

"By the end of November, our party will hopefully have 75,000 members. The filling of forms will continue every day. It will take a while because it is a very big movement. There are still 45,000 forms to fill , which will take quite some time. Membership drive activities are ongoing across the city of Male' today as well, including other cities such as Addu City and Kulhudhuffushi City," Falaah said.

The forms received will be submitted to the EC very soon, he said, adding that the number of registered members of the PNC is between 30,000 and 40,000.

"It is very clear that the people are happy with the President's policies. With 75,000 members, the PNC will become the largest political party in the history of the Maldives," he added.
