The Election Commission (EC) has opened membership applications ahead of the expiry of the term of the Election Commission (EC) Chairman Fuad Thaufeeq.

Fuad was appointed as the EC Chairman in November 2019. His term expires in November this year.

The President’s Office said in a statement today that applications for EC membership can be submitted from today until 12:00 noon on the 23rd of this month.

Application forms can be downloaded from the President's Office website. Applications will be accepted from 08:30 am to 12:00 pm on all days except public holidays.
