Gender Minister Shidhatha Shareef has said that all works to bring justice for the woman with special needs who was abused in Sh. Feydhoo will be done.
In a tweet sent out on Wednesday night, the Minister revealed that upon learning of the merciless acts against the woman, state had provided her with the necessary protection and assistance. She added that no stone would be left unturned to find those behind this, and to bring them to justice.
The Minister's comments come during a time when photos of the woman tied to a lamppost has been circulating on social media.
Deputy Mayor of Feydhoo Council revealed to One Online that the woman had been tied to the lamppost last Monday night, and that the people behind it are yet unknown.
