An agreement has been signed between Maldives and China regarding the development of SMEs in the Maldives.
On behalf of the Maldives, Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail signed the agreement while on behalf of China, State Administrator for Market Regulation Zhang Mao signed the agreement.
Economic Ministry has revealed that several works will be carried out to strengthen the relations between both countries under the MoU signed between both countries today. According to the Ministry, this would include the development of SMEs in the Maldives along with mutual support on consumer protections between both countries.
High level discussions will be held in order to implement the MoU, and ties between both countries will be made stronger through workshops and conferences according to the Ministry.
In addition to traveling of experts and officials from both countries to each other and providing training programs will also be carried out.
