Minister for Housing, Land and Urban Development Dr. Ali Haider Ahmed has been summoned to the Parliament for questioning regarding the handing over of the land and flats allotted to the people of Male' city during former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration.

Mohamed Ibrahim, MP from Galolhu Uthuru constituency, requested to summon Dr. Haider to parliament.

He is scheduled to ask Haider as to when the land from Binveriyaa Scheme and flats from Gedhoruveriya Scheme will be handed over to the allottees.

Last week, Dr. Haider told the Parliamentary Petition Committee that work on six of the flats under the housing scheme would be completed by October and efforts were being made to declare the final list of beneficiaries.
