Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Mahloof has met with the MP Elects from Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).

According to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, during the meeting Minister Mahloof had shared the three year plan they have in place for the development of individual constituencies. Each MP was briefed on their own constituency respectively.

The Ministry added that during this meeting discussions were also carried out regarding the budget for 2020. The 19th session of the parliament will begin after the new MPs are sworn in on May 28.

MDP had won a historic number of seats during the Parliamentary Elections this past April. As such, out of the 87 seats they were able to gain 65 seats.
