Technical aspects of the feasibility study for the 100-bed hospital to be developed in Villimalè have been discussed.

The Chinese government was awarded the contract on May 22 this year.

The main stakeholders of the 100-bed hospital in Villimalè discussed the technical aspects of the feasibility study with China International Development Cooperation Agency and the Construction Ministry technical team and the operational and functional requirements of the hospital, the Construction and Infrastructure Ministry said in a post.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, senior management of the hospitals in the city and the technical team involved in the project on behalf of the Ministry of Construction.

China's Ambassador to the Maldives, Wang Lizhin, said in a post on X today that the Chinese government-funded Wilmington Hospital project is progressing in collaboration with the relevant departments of the hospital.
