Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing for Thursday in a case filed by the Prosecutor General on behalf of the state against the former President, Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
While details of the case are unclear, it is known to be an appeal.
The schedule at the Supreme Court states that it is a case filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office against the former President, Yameen, regarding a court order issued by the Criminal Court.
The Supreme Court said that the case would be presided over by a panel consisting of Chief Justice, Dr. Ahmed Abdulla Didi, Judge Abdulla Areef, Judge Adam Mohamed Abdulla, Judge Abdulla Didi and Judge Abdul Ghanee Mohamed.
Criminal Court has previously issued two court orders regarding the money laundering charge against the former President Abdulla Yameen.
