New US Ambassador talks anti-terrorism with Defence Minister

The new US Ambassador to the Maldives, Alaina Teplitz, has discussed anti-terrorism strategies against the spread of extremism in the South Asian Region with the Maldivian Defence Minister, Mariya Ahmed Didi.

Defence Ministry took to Twitter saying that the US Ambassador made a courtesy call this morning and the two discuss further cooperation in tackling radicalization in the region.
