Malaysia Airlines is set to resume flights to the Maldives, as the company launches a new route between Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur and Malé, the capital of the Maldives.
The airline will launch its daily flights between Kuala Lumpur and Malé with its inaugural flight on Thursday 1 August 2024. MACL will also hold a special ceremony to welcome the first flight from Kuala Lumpur to VIA.
The ceremony will be attended by officials from the Ministry of Tourism, MACL, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations (MMPRC) and Malaysia Airlines.
Malaysia Airlines is set to operate flights seven days a week on a 174-seat Boeing 737-800 Makara. The airline last operated flights to the Maldives in 2017.
